A Must-buy for nepal travelers!

The Internet age has reached Mount Everest. A brand new transmission tower has been erected in an elevation of about 5,200 meters. That means that the base camp is now online.

Thanks to the efforts of the Nepalese Internet provider Ncell, mountaineers can now make phone and video calls, access the Web, send email and update their Web sites, Twitter and Facebook accounts.

Climbers who reached the summit are now able to inform the world about their success without hassle via the Internet. Previously this was only possible via expensive satellite technology.

This review is from: Trekking in Nepal DVD - Everest Base Camp Trek - Kathmandu city tour - Rough travel guide (DVD)
I am planning a trip to Nepal, so i was shopping around for DVDs, i bought this one. Its great, there is about 20 minutes dedicated to the everest base camp trek alone! Perfect! Give a good idea what the terrain will be like. WHat you can buy in the shops along the way and so on.
The rest of the DVD covers the city of kathmandu. And the chitwan national park, seems ok, crocs, rhinos etc.. a bit of a drive from kathmandu though! Maybe i'll go there on my next trip!
